this valentine’s will be sweet for reasons of a chubby, happy little girl now in our family. the wee beastie smiles & giggles and kisses her face in the mirror and growls when she doesn’t like something and tastes everything (toys, your arm, leaves, the carpet, a woven basket, her own fingers, the wall…) and laughs randomly at nothing and is so close to crawling – it’s hard work getting 22lbs off the floor, you know — and prefers babbling to napping and rolling to sitting. she’s the little valentine cherub our hearts were waiting for and we love her to pieces. to pieces.

so part of the fun of any holiday (if you count this as a holiday) is finding creative ways to [share the love]! you saw what i did there, dincha? sneaking in that other blog post… anyway, so in addition to looking for some practical, little ways i can share the love in our community, i’ve rounded up some fun do-it-yourself valentines from various resources discovered while wasting time doing market research on pinterest. so below you’ll see a few of my favorites from other creative bloggers, with links below. it’s a sweet deal, really. all that free stuff from other people. makes my valentine-ing easier!

and, from our pre-valentine festivities last night: love cookies! these were definitely inspired by some of that market research i mentioned before…but they were a huge hit! of course, one of my cousins did point out that the second plate appears to make the sentence read “love you like a fat kid bee pirate”….so be not confused. it was a small plate.

that’s all i got. go love somebody.
